Cute Kids is a vibrant, growing home-based childcare service provider.

We are committed to providing quality childcare and education in a nurturing home environment and are seeking Educators to fulfil this vision. If you have a genuine interest in the care and wellbeing of children and would like to work from home, either part-time or full-time whilst still being available to your own family, we would love to hear from you.

Main Objective

Providing quality education and care to the children in our service. Ensure the health and safety of the children in your care. To work as a collaborative and reflective teacher alongside the visiting teacher, to provide a programme to children based on the principles of Te Whariki and research of what constitutes good practice. Ensuring that children grow into competent and confident learners.

Curriculum

To plan, implement and evaluate the early childhood curriculum, Te Whariki, to enhance and scaffold the uniqueness of our children’s learning and development through the provision of learning experiences that respond to the learning interests, strengths, and capabilities of all children. Enabling children to experience a variety of learning opportunities in the home, community, and group settings.

Relationships

Develop responsive, reciprocal relationships, with children, families and coordinators. Enhance children’s learning and development through relationships and interactions, which are responsive, reciprocal, positive and encouraging. Respect and acknowledge the aspirations of parents, whanāu. Make all reasonable efforts to collaborate with parents about the learning and development of, and decision-making about their child. Collaboratively with your coordinator / visiting teacher to review and evaluate learning and teaching practices.

Environment

To provide a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment which extends children’s learning through meaningful experiences with people, places, and things.

Health and Safety

To take all steps to promote the health and safety of children. Ensuring that the facilities and equipment in your home is kept in good repair.
